THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH

Why is it so hard for many Christians to stay faithful till the end? Paul said he finished the race and he has fought a good fight of faith. He truly believed that he would receive his crowns from the Lord. Can we say the same thing? We falter when hardship comes, we were beaten by betrayal of others people, we were hurt when people disappoint us and then we leave the Lord.

It happens because we lose our focus and purpose. It happens because we don’t have a good relationship with the Lord, because we don’t know Him enough and that we give up easily and focus on things of the earth instead of eternal reward that we receive which is much greater than any pleasure on this earth. It is just like our love relationship with someone. If we love someone, we would do anything to see that person happy. We would sacrifice our lives if need be to see that person smile and rejoicing.

If we know how much is the love of God towards us, how much joy He has to bless us and to see us successful, we would surely able to bear anything to please Him. We will do anything to please our heavenly Father, and the only thing He asks is that we follow His commandments. In turn, He will put His joy in us in the power of the Holy Spirit to help us finish our race till the end.

One truth that we have to realize is that everything that we do for the Lord is for our own well being!!!!

God commands us to live holy because He is holy and that we don’t get hurt and tossed aside like garbage by what non believers do. People change partners easily without any commitment and destroying soul after soul and even their own family. God tells us to love our enemies so that His Name would be glorified because He is love and that Jesus died not just to save us but to save our enemies too. That is why love our enemies so that they may believe in Jesus and be saved and we will be rewarded for that. Those are just a couple of examples.

Focus on the Lord. Let His joy be our strength and not the joy of the world. Everything that we do, let it be pleasing to Him for that is His will to prosper us and see us stand strong till the end

Nehemiah 8:10

Daily prayer
Lord Jesus, let me focus just on You and that everything that I do may please You and glorify Your Name. Let Your joy be my strength because I want to finish my race till the end where You will tell me that I have been a good and faithful servant. In the Name of Jesus I pray.
