Hidden treasure

In John 10:10 Jesus said that He has come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. However it doesn’t mean that Jesus will just show up to our door and deliver the things that we need. Because anything that are precious on this earth are not easily found. We don’t find gold or diamonds lying around anywhere. We don’t just find oil in our backyard. The things that are easily found are normally of lesser value or no value at all. For example pebbles and stones.

The same thing applies to our life. Jesus came to give us life but we have to find it. We have to seek it; we have to work to get it. God will provide everything that we need but it doesn’t mean we just sit down and do nothing and have everything handed down to us. Jesus used a parable of merchant seeking beautiful pearls of great price to describe the Kingdom of heaven. He used a merchant or a business man, that means someone who is working, who has a job but still seeking thing that is so precious which is the kingdom of heaven and part of it which is life that Jesus came here to give us.

Jesus told us by using that parable to seek it until we find it. Precious things are worth the work especially if we want to receive the life and life abundantly that Jesus has prepare for us. In one hand Jesus is stretching out His hands to us to give us all that He has but we have to do our part which is seek Him, believe in Him and never stop holding on to Him. If you ever find that precious life, hold on to it, and live in it.

Matthew 13:45-46

Daily prayer
Lord Jesus, give me the strength to never give up in seeking You and the life that was meant for me. I believe that You gives and supply all that I need, but make me diligent to work hard until I find it and live in all that You have given me. In the Name of Jesus I pray.
